Glencore cuts $18bn commodity inventory profile

Commodities giant Glencore is shrinking its $18 billion inventory profile in a bid to allay concerns about its debt, it is claimed. The Swiss-based trader has vowed to reduce its $30 billion debt by suspending dividends, reducing investments and selling assets.
