ITFA 50th Annual trade finance conference in Limassol: The stuff of legends
ITFA celebrates its 50th anniversary on the island birthplace of the goddess Aphrodite on 4-6 September. TXF is thrilled to be Conference Community Partner for what promises to be a legendary event.
ITFA’s trade finance events are legendary, and at an event to mark half a century, where better to be than at the island birthplace of the goddess Aphrodite? ITFA’s 50th Annual International Trade and Forfaiting Conference, will be held in Limassol Cyprus on 4-6 September 2024.
The conference agenda – ITFA Conference 2024 will draw on the vision of modern oracles. Along with futurologists looking at what new technologies will do for trade, there will insights on future trade flows from senior trade industry leaders and a reflection on the prospects for trade in southern Europe more than 15 years after the global financial crisis, and on emerging market credit risk as the global rate cycle turns.
TXF is delighted to be the Conference Community Partner for the event, where Managing Director Hesham Zakai will moderate a panel on the future of Supply Chain Finance (SCF) digitalisation. The session will feature expert panellists from JP Morgan, Orbian, Finastra and Finverity.
Elsewhere in the programme, funds and non-bank investors will be given a view of the opportunities and challenges of the markets for the asset class. Banks and the ITFA Insurance Committee will look at the outlook for distribution techniques and excavate the current insurance regulatory environment, particularly beyond Basel III implementation. The new ITFA Multilaterals group will analyse the role of multilaterals and DFIs and how best to collaborate to narrow the yawning trade finance gap.
