The usual spiel given by the supply chain finance (SCF) salesman to the corporate buyer is that a SCF programme is a 'win, win, win' solution: a nifty, cutting-edge innovation that saves every party involved a whole load of time, hassle and – most importantly – money. Simple stuff, right? Not so, according a few treasurers who have implemented SCF programmes for large multinational buyers.
