Gerdau sells hydro plants to Kinross

Brazilian steelmaker Gerdau has concluded the BRL835 million ($222 million) sale of two hydroelectric plants in Goias state to miner Kinross Brasil Mineracao. The Caca and Barra dos Coqueiros plants started operations in 2010 and have a total capacity of 155MW. The deal has been funded via...
