Mercuria applies blockchain to oil trade with ING, SocGen

Commodity trader Mercuria has joined forces with ING and Societe Generale to work on the first large oil trade based on blockchain technology. "The energy industry will have to digitalise more and more in oil production, refining, shipping," said Mercuria chief executive Marco Dunand.
